I Have toured so many beautiful public gardens in Louisiana my whole life. My dad was from Many,Louisiana and Hodges Gardens was the first Public garden I ever saw.I have such vivid memories of the Azaleas and attending my first outdoor theater to see the musical " Carousell". I can close my eyes and smell the sweet night air even now. I've been several times since taking my daughters with me and still love it.

       Alas this was all before my digital camera! So I plan to revisit our public gardens with digital camera in hand to report back to you as time goes on.        My favorite Louisiana Public Garden is The New Orleans Botanical Gardens and I do have pictures of it pre-Katrina.
